Disaster Services

Disaster and emergency Services are available for any unexpected property damage. Your property will be protected from further loss by protecting your most valuable assets as soon as a storm or other type of property damage threatens your investments. We offer emergency tarping services for your home or business, which will minimize further water damage while we wait for your insurance company to respond and we develop a plan to replace your damaged roof.

Wind damage can cause roofing systems to fail. Wind damage can often times leave roof shingles and other components unsecured or removed completely, compromising your roofs integrity. Wind damage to any shingles, tiles, flashings, chimneys or roof ventilation can sometimes allow water into your home or business and cause damage even the smallest rain storm.

Claremont Property Company’s Sales Consultants can quickly identify any weaknesses to your roof system and advise you on the best course of action to repair or replace any or all of your roofing materials which were damaged.

Environmental

ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES

At Claremont, our Environmental Services division concentrates on administering environmental inspections, testing, and cleanup services in all cases of asbestos, mold, and other biological contamination. This applies equally to commercial and residential properties and includes but is not limited to, staph, norovirus, and the manufacture of methamphetamines.

Our team of environmental specialists are licensed and up to date with their ongoing certification requirements. This allows them to continually work under the hazardous conditions caused by said contaminants.

ASBESTOS ABATEMENT, TESTING, AND INSPECTION

Mineral asbestos has traditionally been used in construction materials as a source of heat resistance and insulation due to its unique naturally occurring properties. Unfortunately, when worn or damaged after many years of use, the asbestos fibers can become airborne and lead to various cancers.

As such, regardless of the year of construction, all structures that may contain asbestos materials must be tested before the commencement of any demolition or renovation project. This remains true even after a natural disaster when every second count.

If testing is positive, Claremont can administer asbestos abatement services to ensure the material is handled safely according to the standards set forth by the EPA, OSHA, and state health departments.

Asbestos testing is recommended even for buildings in good condition that are not planning renovations. From a risk management perspective, asbestos inspections are an asset as they ensure that the property can be saved before it needs to be torn down or significantly altered down the road.

MOLD REMEDIATION

Mold is not inherently dangerous. In fact, it exists everywhere in small amounts without negatively impacting our lives.

But that all changes in the wake of a natural disaster. Water intrusion from hurricanes, tornados, and floods causes building interiors to breed vast amounts of mold growth, which can be a serious health hazard for some people.

If there is visible mold, treatment is imperative. At Claremont, our chosen water damage tactic is to thoroughly dry and sterilize all surfaces and objects that may breed mold. If, for whatever reason, this cannot be done, we will make recommendations for properly removing any existing mold based on size and scope of contamination. We may also engage the services of a Certified Industrial Hygienist for further consulting and testing.

Our mold remediation team follows all guidelines for the safe removal and disposal of mold-contaminated items set forth by the IICRC, the EPA, and other state guidelines and requirements.

BIOHAZARD CLEANUP

Cleanup of Biohazardous materials tends to be delicate in nature and require extreme professionalism and adherence to safety considerations.

At Claremont, our certified environmental specialists are experienced at handling environmental and biological hazards, including staph, norovirus, lead-based paint, bodily fluids, and methamphetamine contamination. Our teams consult on the most effective cleanup approach that includes safely clearing away contaminates, and rendering properties safe to occupy.

 LEAD-BASED PAINT

Our staff includes Certified Lead Remediators that test for and address lead-based paint cases that can cause lead poisoning. Since 2010, residential contractors involved in the renovation, repair, and painting (RRP) of structures built prior to 1978 that can disturb lead-based paint, must be Lead-Safe Certified. Claremont remediators meet these qualifications.
